Roccagloriosa

Roccagloriosa

Roccagloriosa is a place where nature blends with the thousand-year history carved on the stones. The village is perched on a rocky spur dominating the valleys of the rivers Mingardo and Bussento, close to Mount Bulgheria; its strategic and charming location offers a picturesque view which allows you to shift your gaze from Mount Cervati to Mount Bulgheria, from the sea of Palinuro to the Gulf of Policastro up to Calabria and Basilicata coasts. Roccagloriosa preserves one of the most important medieval settlements of Cilento. The earliest records of the village are from the thirteenth century, but Roccagloriosa can boast a much older history, as evidenced by the numerous archaeological finds.
