Verdeblu House

Also known as the "Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea", it is the only inhabited center of Basilicata to look out over this sea. Its historic center is perched on Mount San Biagio, invisible from the sea, and therefore, in ancient times, safe from the Saracen pirates assaults. The Maratea Coast develops for about 30 kilometers from the spectacular crags of Acquafredda to the Secca of Castrocucco, passing through coves, caves, bays and beaches, in a breathtaking trail stretching to the sea. To enjoy the view across the coast, you can go to the San Biagio Sanctuary with its imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer.
